The 13.8" dome clusters well in twos or threes over an island, spacing centers 24 to 30 inches apart so the honeycomb shadows overlap without crowding. Run bulbs at the upper end, near 1200 lumens, for real task light. Islands under 4 ft take a single 15.7" dome instead.
Best sizes: 13.8" · 15.7" · 19.7" · 23.6"
Bulb: 800-1200 lm, 2700-3000K, dimmable, brightest setting for prep work
The smallest 13.8" dome replaces a table lamp beside the bed, its honeycomb shadow staying intimate rather than filling the ceiling. Keep the bottom 20 to 26 inches above the nightstand. Pair it with a dimmable bulb for reading light that fades for late evenings. Wide beds take two.
Best sizes: 13.8" · 15.7" · 19.7" · 23.6"
Bulb: 800-1200 lm, 2700-3000K, dimmable for late-evening reading
The 19.7" dome works as a living room centerpiece when ceilings clear 8 to 9 feet, its bottom clearing head height near the sofa and coffee table. Lower ceilings crowd the honeycomb shadow into the seating area. Rooms under 8 ft should use the 15.7" size instead.
Best sizes: 13.8" · 15.7" · 19.7" · 23.6"
Bulb: 800-1200 lm, 2700-3000K, dimmable for ambient evenings

Every product goes through the same six-step process in our Vietnam workshop — from selecting the cane to testing the wiring. See the full process →
Step 1
Selecting Bamboo and Rattan Materials are carefully chosen based on age, flexibility, and shape. Ideal bamboo is 5–10 years old, with straight, smooth stems and minimal knots, sourced from Vietnamese mountain regions (avoiding the top and bottom growth areas where light exposure affects quality).
Step 2
Splitting and Making Bamboo/Rattan Strips Rattan's outer bark is stripped to reveal its workable core, which is split into uniform strands. Bamboo is similarly split into strips sized according to the final product's requirements, ensuring consistency.
Step 3
Anti-Corrosion and Anti-Mold Treatment Two key methods protect against decay and insects: smoking (improves termite resistance and flexibility) and boiling (removes impurities, kills bacteria, and enhances elasticity). Materials are then sun-dried to boost strength and durability.
Step 4
Making the Pendant Frame and Assembly This involves four steps — selecting a shape (round, drum, cluster, conical, etc.), precise measurement for stable joints, cutting and assembling components, and quality control testing to confirm the frame can bear the lamp's weight and external stress.
Step 5
Weaving of Bamboo/Rattan Pendant Shade Artisans use techniques like woven mesh, embroidery, and twisted weave to create intricate patterns. Weaving starts from key frame points, with continuous checks for uniformity, finishing with detailed borders and accents.
Step 6
Final Quality Assurance and Testing Final steps include controlled natural drying plus anti-termite/anti-mold treatment, surface coloring (natural golden hue, eco-friendly stains, or black lacquer for rattan pieces), professional electrical installation and testing, and a comprehensive final quality inspection before shipping.
Use a soft-bristled brush or vacuum with brush attachment weekly
Gently sweep along the natural grain of the rattan weave
Remove dust buildup from intricate crosshatch patterns
Avoid harsh scrubbing that could damage the delicate fibers
Mix mild soap with warm water for gentle cleaning solution
Use a barely damp cloth to wipe surface sections carefully
Work in small areas to prevent water saturation of natural fibers
Allow complete air drying before reinstalling or powering on
Never submerge the fixture in water or use harsh chemicals
Turn off power at circuit breaker before any maintenance
Check cord connections and mounting hardware monthly
Look for fraying wires or loose electrical connections
Examine ceiling mounting plate for secure attachment
Test dimmer functionality if applicable to ensure proper operation
Keep fixture away from high humidity areas like bathrooms
Rotate positioning occasionally to prevent uneven wear patterns
Store replacement bulbs in cool, dry location
Schedule professional inspection annually for hardwired installations
Document maintenance dates to track fixture condition over time
