A single E26/E27 socket rated to 60W sits behind the slats, and the stepped construction lets light spill outward at each tier rather than one continuous surface, producing layered shadow bands across roughly 8-10 sqm. Each tier is assembled by hand, so slat spacing is not identical tier to tier. In a double-height entry, those tiers throw shadow bands up the wall, adding vertical rhythm most flat shades can't.
